WELCOME RYLIE!

Today we welcomed Rylie Brooke Gandy to the family. Julie moved things along a little faster than we all expected and Rylie was brought into the world at 10:10 a.m. weighing 7lbs. 4ozs. All of the family met at SMH to meet the new arrival---SHE IS BEAUTIFUL! Julie is doing well and Dad and Jay are trying to adjust to the new arrival, too! Thank God for little miracles!

It Strikes Again!

Yesterday, I decided to straighten up the boys room. Well, while checking UNDER the boys bed, guess what I found-----The Mystery Terd Strikes Again! After a quick, yet disgusting, sniff test, my fears were confirmed! I did ask the boys about it and they blamed it on UNCLE SHANE! I don't know who said boys were easier to raise! They may be easy but they sure are DISGUSTING! Try to see if you can find the "little pebbles" in the picture.

Jalyn's Birthday

• Today we had a small family gathering to celbrate Jalyn's birthday. Julie is at the end of her pregnancy so we kept things simple. One great surprise was that PawPaw pulled out Mason's first tooth! It was quite exciting!

Friday Night Fun

We celebrated the beginning of summer by going to Julie and Tory's. Uncle Tory made us some hot wings and gave the kids turns on the four wheeler. Here's a picture of Chad and the boys and a picture of Julie holding Callie---she's having a fit because she doesn't want to wait her turn on the four wheeler!

What a Year!

Now that the school year is coming to a close--I found some pictures that showed how crazy this year has been! Thank God it's SUMMERTIME!

Michele's Shower

On Saturday, we went to Mom's house and held Michele's baby shower. It's amazing how quickly baby gadgets can change in such a short while. We all had a nice time and I think Michele and Shane are going to be busy for the rest of the pregnancy putting things together!

Lost Cord

I lost the cord for the camera so I am uploading old pictures. Hopefully, we'll have the problem solved soon.

Rainy Weekend

This entire weekend was quite rainy, so we didn't do too much (see Gandy Blog). Mason had a stomach virus which kept me pretty busy and Callie was working on passing a week long BM! Well, welcome to Motherhood!

Saturday with Friends

Today the Goodnights and Slaytons came over to visit. We boiled some crawfish---which were DELICIOUS! The kids had fun riding the dirtbikes and climbing trees. We called it an early night so both families could hurry home before the storm. This might be one of the last times we hang out with the Goodnights before they move---in the next few months Chris, Tammie and the girls will be moving to Texas.
It was a nice "Family Fun" kind of day!

Sunday Riding

Today the Snider's and Gandy's came over to test out their new four wheelers in the country. All the kids had a great time riding on the trails and jumping hills. Emma isn't quite ready to ride, yet, but she had a lot of fun watching! Uncle Tory broke in his new toy by getting it stuck wheel high in mud--he had to get pulled out by the neighbor's truck! We all had a great day.

Easter Sunday

Today we celebrated Easter at Mammy and PawPaw's new house in Abita. Callie loved going for golf cart rides with anyone who was willing to drive her. Mammy bought Mace and Jake 'shrimp boots' so they could play in the creek next to the house. And we did have the annual Easter Egg Hunt ---candy for the kids and money for the adults! We couldn't wrestle this year since Michele is expecting her little "Moosehead." Chad also couldn't participate in the Egg Hunt since he is still recovering from his Good Friday Dirtbike ride (or crash). Overall, it was a very nice day.

Jake the Snake

We now have a new addition to our family. Jake has been saving his money since Christmas to buy his own special pet---A SNAKE! It is a ball python which is supposed to be a good pet for kids. Jake has named him "Viper". Just a tip to parents----Don't ever tell your children they can have something if they save their money--it just might be a SNAKE!

Birthday Celebration

Today we celebrated the boys birthday with our family. We served crawfish for the adults and hot dogs for the kids. It was a hot day, but we had fun!

Potty Training 101

It seems that Callie has a few things confused about using the bathroom! If you can believe it, she's actually saying, "Cheese!"

Pretty Princess

Somebody got a little jealous when she saw her brothers on the computer! Callie decided to dress up so I could take her picture, too! Look how pretty!

Birthday Boys

Mason and Jacob are now eight years old! The boys started their day with cupcakes, candles and Mom singing "Happy Birthday!" After a day at school, we had a very good BBQ dinner, then more cupcakes and singing. Daddy decided to add a special touch and give the boys a nice birthday surprise of his own---cupcake smashed in the face! They enjoyed the rest of their birthday playing their new Gameboy games.

A Visit From Sissy

Sissy came over to visit the kids today. Sissy spent the day entertaining the kids with board games, dress up, singing songs, and then finished off the day watching "Harry Potter." I think Sissy is going to sleep good tonight! Thanks Sissy!

Mason and Jacob's 8th Bday

Today we celebrated the boys' 8th birthday at Pizza Hut. We had a nice time getting to know some of their friends from school. The boys favorite gift was from Nathan who gave them each a personal CD player with headphones. They love walking around the house singing! Happy Birthday, Mace and Jake!

Birthday Boys

This week we are preparing to celebrate another set of birthdays! Jacob and Mason will turn 8 on March 22nd. This year we are having a few of their friends meet us at Pizza Hut to celebrate. Jacob has picked an army theme and Mason has picked a basketball theme. I guess we'll have to get a cake of army men on a basketball court! The birthday gathering is set for Saturday. I can't WAIT to be in an enclosed area with 10 eight year-olds--all hyped up on soft drinks and sugar!

Callie's Party

Today we celebrated Callie's third birthday. We all had a great time with our close family and friends. And if you check out the many moods of the birthday girl, it doesn't look like the terrible twos are quite over yet!

Caliie's Birthday

Today is our little girl's third birthday. I woke up this morning feeling relieved that the "terrible twos" were over UNTIL Callie woke up throwing a huge tantrum! I guess there might be an extension into the threes. Today is quite special because not only is Callie turning three on her 3-3-03 birthday, but Paw Paw is turning fifty-three and was born in 1953! How cool is that! The celebation is set for Sunday and we hope to enjoy the day with lots of family and friends. Happy Birthday, Little Bit!

Yard Helpers

Today was a beautiful day in Mississippi. Chad had some help from the kids in the yard. Now that Spring is near, we are hoping to start landscape work. Most of the grass has grown in; however, our dog, Maggie, is trying to do some landscaping of her own by digging holes throughout the property. We can't wait to see the numerous hardwoods bloom in the backyard- and of course we feel obligated as official Mississippi residents to plant magnolia trees!

Cool Riders

This past Christmas was a great one for the guys in our family. All three boys received dirt bikes Christmas morning. So far,there has only been "minor" injuries--thank God! Chad has been teaching the boys how to handle their bikes and they have been having a great time with Daddy.

Building Our Shed

The work has started on the shed. The boys have been helping Chad. Hopefully this means we are a little closer to having our master bedroom!

Superbowl Sunday 2006

Today we had our first crawfish boil in our new house. The Gandys and Mom and Dad came to visit. The crawfish cost $3.00 a pound but they were worth it! We all stuffed ourselves silly and almost had to borrow Julie's maternity clothes! It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed watching the boys ride their dirtbikes!
