I think they may have added a few new subjects to the public school curriculum. Apparently, "How To Be a Thug" and "Pole Dancing 101" are being offered.

Labor Day Weekend

We spent Labor Day weekend at Mammie and Paw Paw's enjoying their new hot tub. The guys also went fishing and had a blast. The tooth fairy came to visit, too. Mace lost his other front tooth so he now has to eat everything off his back teeth. Thanks Mom and Dad! We had a great time!

Low Key Weekend

This weekend my sister Julie went to Baton Rouge to celebrate her birthday. Our gift to her was to watch Jay and Rylie overnight. Jay had a good time playing with our crew and Rylie was an absolute angel! She is probably the happiest little baby I've ever seen. She slept all night and never made a peep! Her favorite person by far is her cousin Mace. He held her and rocked her asleep more than I did!

Fun in the Sun

Last weekend, we had some friends over to BBQ, ride dirtbikes, and play on a waterslide. My friend, Christy, sent some pictures that came out so cute! All the parents and kids had a great time!

Sunday BBQ

Today we had our friends over from the Tennessee trip so we could compare pictures. Well, in true style everyone forgot their pictures BUT REMEMBERED THE BEER! The Gandy's came over, too, because there was an inflatable waterslide and four wheelers. Chad cooked an AWESOME brisket! It was a hot day, but we all had fun!

Ten Kids In One Cabin

Here's the last bit of pictures from our trip. If you can believe it, we had ten kids in one cabin and all the parents came back ALIVE! We had our three, Reagan and Tatum (Christy's), Katherine and Lauren (Tracy's), Christopher and Kiley (Pat & Kristie's), and Drew (Bridget's--plus she pregnant with #2)!

Welcome to the Family

Today we went to the hospital to hold and spoil Chase. He is quite precious and the new parents seem to be adjusting well. Now the score is tied---3 boys Vs. 3 girls--OH, WHAT A CREW!
It's a BOY!

We welcomed Chase Patrick McCarthy into our family on August 1, 2006. Everyone seems to be doing well and Mason and Jake are THRILLED to have another BOY in the family! Congrats Michele and Shane--Chase is beautiful!

Vacation in Gatlinburg

We just returned from our vacation in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We had an awesome time! We went with friends that we have known FOREVER but haven't had a chance to hang out with since the Hurricane. There were 5 families there with a total of 10 KIDS! We stayed in a huge cabin in the mountains. Our days were filled with trips to Dollywood, hiking, The Dixie Stampede, sight seeing, and LOTS of walking! The weather was gorgeous and believe it or not--all of the kids did really well TOGETHER! It was so cool to see the next generation of kids and how much some of them act like their parents! More pictures are to come!

Toothless Jake

Jacob FINALLY lost his first tooth! He was worried about going into third grade with all his baby teeth. Also, Jay and Callie played dress up again today---this time instead of being topless, they were bottomless with winter jackets on! Go figure--it's 100 degrees outside.

Bye Bye FEMA Life
Last night we had my nephew Nathan spend the night to hang out with the boys before we go back to school. Mrs. Linda is trying to get settled in her house, but it has been a slow process. She finally has a kitchen sink so she doesn't have to wash dishes in the bathtub anymore! Her house looks really nice and once everything is done, I think she's really going to love it! HANG IN THERE, NANA!

July 4th

We spent July 4th at home. Chad bought an EXTREME amount of fireworks for the fourth- - -I guess it's a "guy thing" I just don't understand! Anyway, the kids LOVED them. (I'll admit, they WERE pretty cool!) Callie also started a new trick. She decided to start riding her tricycle. She would never let us teach her- - -so she just did it on her own! WAY TO GO, CALLIE!
